Application of microsilica in building materials

Academy

Micro silicon powder is an excellent material with broad application prospects in high-tech fields at home and abroad, and can be widely used in chemical, metallurgical and other industries.

It can be used in cement or concrete to improve the performance of cement or concrete, and it can formulate special concrete or composite cement with ultra-high, high strength, wear resistance, erosion resistance, corrosion resistance, penetration resistance, frost resistance and early strength to adapt to oilfield solids. Special requirements for wells, offshore oilfield drilling platforms, seaports, railways, bridges, highways, airport runways, tunnels and urban high-rise buildings; used in rubber to improve the elongation, tear resistance and tensile strength of rubber; Used in refractory materials and ceramic products to effectively improve the strength and durability of products.

1. Micro-silica fume concrete is used in water conservancy and hydropower projects, which can improve the anti-abrasion ability of the project. Traditional anti-abrasion materials at home and abroad mostly use macromolecular materials such as epoxy mortar. Although these materials have good anti-abrasion ability, due to their own line The expansion coefficient is several times that of the base concrete, and the temperature of the base concrete is not suitable for it. It is easy to crack and fall off under natural climatic conditions, and the construction is complicated, toxic and expensive. With the use of micro-silica fume concrete, the erosion and abrasion resistance is about doubled, and the abrasion resistance of the 48m/s flow rate level is increased by more than 3 times.

2. The use of micro-silica fume concrete in hydraulic engineering can improve the crack resistance of the project. Hydraulic concrete cracks have become a major concern of people. The reason for the cracks is due to the heating of the hydration heat of the material itself. For example, adding fly ash into the concrete can reduce the heating of the chemical electric heating, but the early strength is relatively low, which limits the amount of fly ash.

3. Micro silica fume concrete can improve the permeability resistance and salt corrosion resistance, and protect the steel bars. In underwater engineering, chloride ions penetrate into concrete, causing rapid corrosion of steel bars, delamination of concrete, short service life and serious damage. Underwater concrete pouring generally adopts the conduit method. Due to the loss of cement slurry, it cannot be well bonded to the base layer, and the strength of the part in contact with water is reduced. These problems can be significantly improved after adding micro silica fume into underwater concrete.

4. Micro-silica fume concrete is used in the emergency repair of traffic highway pavement, and has strong wear resistance. It takes 28 days for the road to be poured with ordinary concrete to be opened to traffic normally, and it usually takes 3 days for the early-strength concrete to be opened to traffic. The damage to the concrete road surface is inevitable. Repairing by conventional methods often results in traffic interruptions, resulting in serious economic losses. The use of micro-silica fume concrete with early strength and wear resistance characteristics is very ideal after practical application. The runway of the airport requires the use of concrete of more than 80MPa and good wear resistance, and micro silica fume can also play a role.
